" Chibi " ( means little one ) is a Blakiston’s fish-owl. Blakishton's fish owl is a largest owl of the world and one of the most endangered species that inhabit in the eastern Hokkaido.
Hokkaido, is the northernmost of the four main islands of Japan. The Shiretoko peninsula is situated in the north-eastern part of Hokkaido and one of the bird watchers’ favorite destinations. It is a land of outstanding natural beauty, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005.
Chibi was sheltered when it was a chick. Chibi lives in the shelter as an Good will Ambassador to bridge Human and shima fukurou. Chibi can not be freed to the nature because of the congenital disorder. It won't be survive by its own.
Chibi's mission is to become a symbol for the wildlife conservation.
