ふるさと紹介 vol.1 島根県 - Shimane Prefecture
サスガアカデミーでは、スタッフ、先生方のふるさと紹介を始めます。
第一回目は、ゆり先生が故郷の島根県 Shimane prefecture を紹介してくれます。
島根県 しまね-けん（出雲地方）いずも-ちほう
島根県は、北は日本海、南は中国山地に面した自然に恵まれたところです。
神々の集まる出雲大社や、八 岐大蛇伝説ゆかりの八重垣神社、黄泉の国との境とされる黄泉平坂など、古事記にゆかりのある場所が多く、 神話の故郷としても有名です。
また、古墳時代の住居や出土品を展示した風土記の丘や、銅剣・銅矛・銅鏡 などが大量に出土した荒神谷遺跡、日本最古の大社造りである神魂神社（かもすじんじゃ）や石見銀山、松 江城（以上 3 つは国宝です）などの歴史的な重要史跡も多く残っています。
海の幸のみならず、宍道湖で獲れる魚介もおいしく、離島の隠岐の島では高級和牛を育てています。江戸 時代には、「不昧流」というお茶の流派を作ったお殿様の影響で、お茶と和菓子の文化が発達しました。
出雲 人は、今でも 1 日 2 回煎茶を入れて和菓子とともに楽しんでいます。

Shimane prefecture - Izumo area Shimane is surrounded by rich and beautiful nature. The north side faces the Sea of Japan, and the south faces the Chugoku Mountain range. It is known as “The Land of Myths,” so there are a lot of places tied to Japanese Myths (Kojiki); Izumo Oyashiro is where gods congregate, Yaegaki shrine is known for the Legend of Yamata no Orochi, and Yomotsu Hirasaka is said to be the border between the worlds of life and death. Shimane is also famous for its numerous archeological findings such as copper swords, shields, and mirrors at Koujindani Iseki, as well as an ancient village in Fudoki. There are three “National Treasures” (kokuho), which are Iwami silver mining site, Matsue Castle, and Kamosu Shrine, which was built with the oldest Taisha architecture style. In addition, the food culture is very vibrant. Shimane has everything from seafood, from the sea and Lake Shinji to high-brand wagyu beef from Oki Islands. Tea and Japanese sweets have become a big part of Shimane life since the spread of Fumai tea style during the Edo period. 出雲大社 いずもたいしゃ：Izumo Taisha* - 正式な読み方は（いづもおおやしろ）は、神話の時代から続く古社で、日本で最も古い神社のひとつです。
主祭神は「大国主大神（おおくにぬしのおおかみ）」、通称「大黒様（だいこくさま）」です。
そうです。大国主大神（おおくにぬしのおおかみ）は、日本書紀に出てくる「因幡の白兎（いなばのしろうさぎ）」の、あの大黒様です。
大黒様は縁結びの神様として有名です。大黒様のご利益は、恋愛成就、金運、財運、商売繁盛、仕事運、福運と多岐にわたります。日本で大黒様は、みんなが幸福になるための、あらゆる縁を結ぶ神様として慕われています。
